Hi All,
This message is asking what is the train traffic volumes for the UP Gila Sub in Arizona? I hope to be going down there in a few weeks and the Gila sub is on my list of places to visit/railfan

Hi, Mr. The Moose Tick!
One never knows what to expect train traffic-wise. But generally, there are scattered freights from time to time. If you are fortunate enough to catch a fleet, you’ll enjoy the show. And a fleet meeting a fleet is wonderful. But, don’t be surprised if you follow the tracks for hours and not see any trains.
Some photos from October 2012:

West of Stanwix:
K. P. (or anyone else) - Do you have a good, close-up head on photo of that ex-SP, steam locomotive era, water tank at Red Rock in the background ? I’ve been told that it’s still there because it also serves as the local municipal water supply . . .
Paul,
I couldn’t locate any that I’ve taken, but a Google image search (“Red Rock AZ water tower”) turned up several.

Hi, Paul … How is this one?
It was shot on April 14, 2008.
A never before posted view from another angle that was shot on May 29, 2009:
In the just above photo, Main 2 has not been laid yet on the cleared right-of-way on the lower left.
Hope the above two fit your request.
Take care,
K.P.
Enjoy your visit, The Moose Tick, and be sure to carry plenty of water yourself! [8D]
