According to the DRGW.net webpage the following UP Heritage locomotives are due into Proviso Yard either today 05-01-07 or 05-02-07

UP 1995 - CNW
UP 1982 - Missouri Pacific
UP 1988 - MKT
UP 4141 - George W Bush (Air Force One) - haven’t seen that on up this way for quite a while.

Let me know when they head down to Georgia. [(-D]

Caught UP 1995 departing today, in the company of CNW 8701 (which had been damaged at the shop a week or so ago). Others were going to go out the other end of the yard.

UP 1988 departed last night heading for Seattle from Global Two. (The intermodal yard within Proviso)

I heard that report about the 1988 somewhere else, too, but guess what…as of two hours ago it was still sitting at Proviso, by itself.

UP 1982 (MP) and 4141 (GHWB) also were back at Proviso today. Saw them on the move, but have no info in regard to destination (same for 1988–no destination any more).

Meanwhile, UP 1995 should be at Council Bluffs by now.

Are they going to be here through the weekend?

Unfortunately the drgw trace webpage is still just showing all 3 units in Proviso. Rumors of a westbound Heritage Tripleheader were being thrown around on another railfan forum.

All three (1982, 1988, and 4141) will leave bright and early tomorrow. Unless you get up (or stay up) you’ll miss 'em. They should leave on MPRPB.

Meanwhile, UP 1995 should be headed toward Proviso from Council Bluffs (with CNW 8701 in the consist). And UP 3300, the United Way SD40-2, went through Chicago today with an ethanol train bound for the NS.
