Iam trying to detail a N-scale Passenger train that use to run from L.A. to Sun Valley, Idaho Called the “Snow Ball Express”
Is there a Book or info on interior Colors of UP Cars?

What time frame are you modeling? UP’s colors were Leaf brown and Armour Yellow in the 30’s to 40’s then standardized on Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray. If the former then the trucks need to be gray until the early fifties then switch to silver.

Hello Charlie,
it looks like late 60’s to early 70’s I am looking at here…
I have video from the Hank Griffith collection showing close to the last of the runs from L.A. to Sun Valley, and the cars are “smooth side” cars (28) and a E8/9A and 4 E8/9B’s making the run.
but sadly,… no good shots inhside the cars.[%-)]
so I hope to find some info out on it,

Here’s the place to start looking http://www.uprr.com/aboutup/history/index.shtml It’s the UP site, go to photos and see what they have now. They change their photo’s from time to time. They also sell photos, and have thousands in their files. [:)]
