Would someone please tell me what the #series for the sd70aces are…The regular service ones,

not the heritage units…Thank You,

i’m not sure where the series begins, but most are in the 8500s

They are 8309-8620

THANK YOU VERY MUCH…

Here is one taken at the end of August…here in Vegas…

Thats a nice pic…What kind of train was this unit on? I never see them around here, unless Ive mistaken them for a SD90-4300 and they are mostly trailing units, never on the pt.

I see a few per day. they number 8300 and up because 8000 and up is the SD80MACs.

You mean the SD90MACs? Just giving you a hard time (they are identical, after all)…[:D]

Identical on the outside, that is.[;)]

It was part of a very overpowered 15 car freight train, that originated in Utah, terminating here in Vegas. MPVLV was the train symbol.

Here is a SD90Mac…on the point of this coal train, just south of Vegas, a few months ago…the nose is the biggest spotting feature/difference between the SD70Ace

SD9043MACs - these are the ones with the 16-710G3C engine, same 4300HP rating.
