While looking at another forum, forgive me I strayed[:O], someone posted about a UP derailment in Columbus NE. Two engines and 22 cars. Normally, I wouldn’t bring it up but there was a link to the local newspaper. The paper has pictures of the derailment and clean up. It’s not everyday you see side boom cranes rerailing double stacks, so I thought I’d bring it up for anyone that’s interested.

I don’t know anything beyond what the paper’s article says. I’ve been off since late Wednesday night for the 72 hour Federal Requirement for working 7 consecutive days. Probably just as well, since what I usually hear at work turns out to be wrong anyway.
