According to the model shop at Ogden Union Station, the 844 is the locomotive. Also note they have updated the schedule to correct the mistake of where it was going to be on display on Apr 14.
I had a sneaking suspicion it would be the 844. I think the 3985 is still in the shop for repairs right?
3985’s rebuilding was finished in time for it to be scheduled for the Republican convention in the Twin Cities last fall (844 went to the Democrats at Denver). However, the city requested it not appear due to the problems of additional crowd control they thought it could create, so the trip was made following the convention.
