UP steam to visit Nebraska and Iowa in September
While it’s great the UP does this, it would be nicer if you could ride the train. The public relations would be a boost for UP and the trains would be a sell out.
Saw 844 at Union Station in Kansas City. Surprised how many young people including females greeted this beauty. They weren’t even born when steam rode the rails.
Would also be great if UP could find a way to bring back the Streamliners and make train transportation a private venture again.
Tickets were available for the Cheyenne Depot Museum Excursion (Denver-Cheyenne the day after the Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days Special) and it wasn’t sold out. If interested, watch next spring.
UP 844 made a 15 minute stop in Greeley Colorado July 19, on the way to Denver. The link below shows it leaving the Greeley station.
