Allan.
not as neat as I thought it was gonna be, scheme seems a little drab to me
Me too, it really need a little more someting?? Not real big on the color scheme[bow]USA.
It’s FUGLY.
Too loght, it’s ugly, no it’s fugly, no it’s…pug fugly…it’s still better than I expected, though. What’s with the 41 on the side? Is that really the place for that particular number? And shouldn’t the foreign people see some meaning as to what it is? THIS IS THE LOCOMOIVE OF GEORGE BUSH CLONE NUMBER 41…

As I said elsewhere UP is doing this so they can turm around and claim the paint scheme and presidentail logo as UP intellectual property and sue the White House for logo infringment![}:)]
George Bu***he Elder was the 41st President of the United States. He and Dubya call each other “41” and “43.” Those of you who remember Hitchhikers’ Guide to the Galaxy will remember that the answer to “life, the Universe and Everything” was 42, which would be Miss Lewinski’s sometime-boyfriend.
I am an equal-opportunity basher. I don’t like any of 'em very much. If the Patriots can win one more Superbowl before the 2008 election, I’m voting for Bill Belichik for President. It fhe Pats falter, though, I’m going with Spacemouse.
Whoops, I meant that the paint was “too light”
I know, I’m just saying that it seems like a pointless number in it’s location…
I love it! The paint is the rail version of Air Force One. I wonder if it will be called Locomotive One when the former pres. is on board. I’ll buy one if some one produces it.
Part of the “New World Order”, which fouled up the original mission into Iraq that Dubya is now trying to bring to a close. I suppose this is the New World Order paint job!

Grass roots movement - SpaceMouse for President in 2008
I can see his platform now - tax breaks for layout costs
Strange??? It looks exactly every other diesel made in North America in the last 10 or 15 years, do they all come from the same body manufacturer??
That looks pretty cool! I had the chance to see the Western Pacific Heritage diesel when 3985 came into Redding on labor day.
I think Big_Boy_4005 should be his running mate. . .
Loathar got it right. It’s Air Force One as a locomotive. Same colors.
I live at the southern approach to Andrews AFB and see the big 747 fly over the house all of the time.

Let us know if you see Choo-Choo One on final approach, OK?
Maybe it’s just me, but, aside from the overtly political nature of the gesture, I think the paint scheme looks pretty good. At least it shows that there does exist a paint scheme that can render an SD70ACe as something more than a colossally ugly locomotive. The horizontal motif does look good on it.
I can see such a paint scheme for a special presidential train to pull the president’s train around with, but not for regular everyday use… I’d just as soon UP keep their paint scheme like it is - yellow, gray and red.

I think in general it looks like a nice adaptation of the Air Force One paint scheme to a modern locomotive. I have a question though, is that a bell hanging from the frame above the last axle of the first truck? If so, isn’t that a strange place for a bell, or an I just unfamiliar with modern equipment.

I hope that the engineers are really careful with this one and that they don’t run into anything. Otherwise we’d wind up with a “Bush Bash.”
Oh no, what did I just say!
