Most railroads have very strong Anti-drug programs. Many have counseling as part of their program. I’d guess UP will have the “**** Bus” out and get a lot of random testing done. Besides, it sounds like this guy paid the ultimate penalty. Too bad he took the innocent conductor along with him. I guess I’m still not sure who you are saying was fired???

What I find funny/sick about this is that the railroad spouses in El Paso had a big demonstration about crew fatique immediately after the accident. Wonder if anyone in the public will catch a whif of politics in that?
