Don’t know if this is a repost, but the May 15th issue of Newsweek had a one paragraph article on an upcoming book entitled “Freight Train Graffiti”. Here is a link to the online version of the article:

I know how most of you feel about graffiti, how do you feel about the book?
That might be a really good book to read. I’ll have to look for that on the stands.
I personally feel as though Graffiti is a form of art, however it is not ment to be put upon other’s property. Some people feel as though Graffiti is a form of disrespect, others feel it’s a sign of territorial control. Back in the day when gangs wanted others to know their territory they would make their mark in the form of graffiti on a certain point, or in most cases buildings. Now days people mainly do it because they don’t have anything better to do.
When I was in high school I used to do graffiti with spray paint and perminate markers on clothing (mainly T-shirts) for a small fee. I also do graffiti now, on paper every now and again.
