update on the downsizing

After asking you guys for advice on unloading my trains, track, buildings, etc., Word got around locally that I was downsizing. I have been able to sell most of my buildings and trees and my DCC system to three individuals. I’m boxing my engines and cars to take to my LHS. The owner knows of my health issues and said he would help me out by making me an offer. It’s a bit hard to part with a layout covering half a basement, the kind of layout many modelers dream of. I may be able to do a 2X11 ft switching layout. My wife wants me to use the second bedroom as a hobby room, music, etc.

I hope it was a great ride while it lasted, and that you have a couple of dozen fine photos in good lighting of your layout and some of your fine engines on it.

Sorry to hear that you have come to a crossroads of a sort, but maybe there is someone who has a layout, or there might be a good club nearby at which you can “play” when it seems right.
