Wow, that is all coming together very nicely. How would you describe the H8 as a looker and runner compared to your others?
Looks Great, no clue how it runs. Took it out, pictures and back in box waiting for the Tsunami. There is a BOX of detail parts to be added to it. With no draings to show where they go it will be a little slow down. (Another Story).
Best running is the Reworked Genesis Big Boy. Tsunami. Out of the box the BLI Cab Forward and ANY of the spectrums all run great. The most realistic is the rechipped Hudsons from BLI Both run at 1 mph all day.
We are doing operations to find the bad track before we strat the scenery. Had 11 trains on the mains and branch tonight plus turning over the mine and marshaling yards. As long as we hold to the design length of the trains (8 to 10 cars) we can run all night. We put tohether a 40 car coal drag behind the Challenger and had to cut back to 6 other trains plus the drag due to siding limits.
THe CTC and CCTV make it easy to keep up with all the switching required.
THe H8 was a pre-release that was sent to a hobby shop for evaluation that is how I got it. They have not even printed the owners manual for it yet. I will get one when they are released. All you get in the box is a basic does and don’ts list, no pictures, history or the other info that the old Rivarossi had.
