Here’s an oddity. It’s not my era and not my road, so it would never show up on my pike, but this is UP’s mobile laboratory.
It was originally a passenger car built in 1928; it was converted at some point to a dynamometer car. A few years ago UP made a lab car out of it. Check out the solar panels.
I see that Overland made a brass version of this. I wonder if it was (or will ever be) produced in not-brass. It’s too recent for my era, so it’s idle curiosity, just thought it was interesting.
