I am looking to purchase just the B unit of a USA Trains New York Central locomotive. USA Trains says they only sell them in pairs. Does anyone know where I might find just the “B” unit? Thanks!
I’ve never seen just the B unit for sale. Maybe look on Ebay, or perhaps at a Train show see if a retailer would “break a set”.
Yep, I have an AABBBA set of F units, and an ABBBA set of PA’s… took a long time to get the extra B units.
Just call around, because the B unit is individually boxed in some cases, in others, the AB set is in one box.

USA Trains always sold F-3 “B” units in a “AB” set and never seperately. If you are near and Large Scale only train shows where Charlea Ro may go to, he always has odds and ends train parts and locomotives for sale. Once in a while you will find someone on Ebay selling F-3 “B” units seperately, but not often.
