How do I fix apower pickup shoe that fell off?

Dave, there can be a number of reasons. Do you still have the shoe? Is it damaged? Do you have the spring?
If it was bent severely, it could come out without damaging the motor block.
But the small plastic nub that holds the shoe in place might have been broken, and then it’s tough to repair. I have heard of people using a screw to retain the shoe when this has happened.
I remove all my shoes, because of all the problems they can cause, and the appearance, so I have not studied this situation fully.

Greg, I should have know you would have been first with a reply, I have not looked for the spring yet nor have I looked to see if the nub came off . I thought about removeing the shoe’s, but then I relaced all of my Aristo 10wide frogs. 95%of my shoe snagging problems went away. I even ran 56 unit train late last summer. I used 4, then 3 F-3 to do it . What I don’t do any more is try to run thru a small S made from switchs. I can post some Pix’s of yard end’s if you like with my self imposed restrictions.
