Very nice loco. Sounds as if it has an FM heritage in the prime mover. Does anyone know who the manufacturer was Victoria Rail?
Victoria Rail is the name of the railroad on the east coast of Australia. The T class was built by Clyde locomotive and has a EMD 567 prime mover in it.
Now that’s is a Nice layout!!, and the video is well done to!
and for George from Michigan, Vic Rail only used EMD locomotives, built under licence by Clyde in Australia.
and for Dale from Maryland, keep up the good work!!
bell???
Victorian Railways was the former government-owned rail operator in the southern Australian state of Victoria. After changing name to V/Line in the mid 80s, it was sold off to a private operator in 1999.
The T Class came in several different versions, the one in the video being the earliest dating from the mid 50s.
By the way, Victorian Railways locos weren’t fitted with bells.
An excellent layout - the scenery is very well done, great structures and vehicles, too. I especially liked the camera angles and tight shots. It reminded me of Drew’s Trackside Adventures. Thank you for sharing your layout with us. It was inspiring!
The T class might not have had bells on their locos, but B&O loco facility in Clarksville installed one so it could run on their line!
