Great Layout ,but locomotives needs some momentum adjustments to add to realism.
Clark, what a great layout, brings back an entire decades from when I, was a kid in Mason City. My dad worked for Armour’s untill they closed. Then was transferred to Texas. I remember going with my mom in the afternoons to pick him up from work. I was born a few short years later, their were some M&St. L locos still around, CNW was starting to repaint all the old locomotives. I remember the middle yard as well, use to go and talk to the switchman in the shack. The good ole days, Thanks again for the memories. Great layout, do have the ole Black & White cafe, where the ole crew useto drink their lunch.
Would have liked to watch longer, but the background conversation was very distracting.
This is greatly enjoyable viewing! It looks a lot like the kinds the scenes I’m trying to build on my HO layout.
Clark, where is all the people? Sounds like you either have very noisy gears or a sound system. So where was the air horn signals?
Nice layout…enjoyed the sights. Could have done without seeing people in the shot…spoils the magic a bit. And could really do without so much commentary…see above.
Hi Clark,
Your railroad is great. I like your attention to details. The sheets hanging on the clothes line,etc;
Your scenery is nicely done. I do agree with one of the comments, about adding momentum to locomotives. Otherwise it’s very operator friendly and trouble free.
Great layout. The ballasting and dressing of the track was as good as I have ever seen. The ground area was also very realistic. Enjoyed this a lot. I over looked everything else.
Very nice video. Not sure what the other posters are carping about, perhaps they have never been to an operating session, ha. Always lots of chatter during a good session. Again, very nice video and work.
Beautiful layout! Love all the little details. My only criticism, and it’s a bit nit-picky, is that you had no people on the layout. It was like a ghost town. I know layouts are usually works in progress and you’re probably planning that in the future. At any rate, you have a great layout. Good job!
nice layout, but where are the people? I guess all the towns and industries are operated by ghosts or invisible people.
I like the layout very much. The backdrop gives the illusion, that the surrounding is deaper. Well done the wide radius of the tracks. Here in Germany most model railroader use only the straight and curved tracks, just as delivered from the model railroad dealer.
love it!
I noticed you changed the switches with a Tool instead of just using your finger is there a reason I need to know?
An excellent layout by an excellent modeler. Clark’s attention to prototype detail in the design and operation of his layout is superb.
Surprised that they move the trains so fast even when backing up, and start/stop in jerking movements. Seemed like going through the motions just to get the job done. Hate to be this critical but if you are going to film an operating session as opposed to viewing a layout, then more attention should be paid to realistic operations including speed of the trains.
