I think you did a superb job! Always remember that Model Railroading is supposed to be fun (that used to be the masthead on Model Railroader magazine).

There is no crime in using EZ-track, novice or not. I use it on my 4X8 layout, and, like you, I concentrate on the buildings, signs, figures, vehicles, and all that add to my enjoyment of just running the various freight cars and passenger cars I have accumulated over 50 years of HO modeling. Keep up the good work.
