Great job!!! I really was impressed with the layout and train, but the the sound effects put the icing on the cake.

WOW!! That’s great!! This area isn’t too far from my old stomping grounds when I was growing up .

Nicely done! Loved the sound effects.

That was fun; thanks for the ride!

Enjoyed the video, really liked the look of the layout, sound effects were a nice touch. Thanks for sharing the video.

Nice video, but the Rock boxcar is out of place. I’m assuming it’s one that hasn’t had the Rock markings painted over yet. I kept waiting for another train with the different horn, but it never showed. I’ve been through Monroe several times and it’s pretty flat around there, all corn and soybean fields.

Great weathering job on Rail Box…car and the last car, Rock Island covered hopper, sound was great also…including the last car with the thumping wheel!

Good to see the slow speed of the track allowed for several run bys!

Just curious about the horn sequences… Approaching the GP50s seem to have the correct Leslie 3 chime, and then when the train is about half way by, there’s the sound of a Nathan P3…?

Nice looking layout.

Agreed, great job! The sound, the rolling stock names likely in that area (I too grew up and lived 30-years on a C&NW route near there); very realistically good building types and well done, and really good landscape and trees and trackbed (even the offset lane stripes at the Pella grade crossing (LUVED THAT :).
We just all need to take the MR course in getting every thing dirty. Dust and dirt would make that A+ road into a A+++ grade job.

Great vid of a great layout. Wonderful weathering and roadwork.

Great looking layout. I spend many summers in Pella, remember watching the Rock Island train go thru town, to switch Pella Rolscreen.

Wow, I don’t often comment on these videos. The camera work is great but it is exceeded only by the sound effects! Birds chirping, Doppler effect of the horn after passing, and even a bad order wheel on the BNSF covered hopper! Fantastic!

Nice Layout. Great slow speed action. Enjoyed the sound !!!

Super job! Especially the sound effects. how did he get that noisy set of wheels on that last car? really cool.
