User video: The ultimate DCC throttle part 3

Just completed speed matching calibration of my HO train layout locomotive to the Ultimate DCC Throttle (UDT). My layout has a Digitrax Super-Chief DCS100 which was under control of this Ultimate DCC Throttle via the standard LocoNet connection. You can’t be in a hurry to get somewhere when using the UDT as it forces prototype operation. Seeing a model locomotive running for the first time by the UDT how different operation is compared to standard DCC throttles and decoder emulation of acceleration and deceleration. In addition, the motion is much more “fluid” and the visual effect of “weight” than I expected.

Simply amazing work!

Amazing work. I’m reminded of an MR article in the early 60’s showing the construction of a control pedestal with mechanical switches and rheostats. It was a dream at the time, but you’ve brought the miracle of digital circuits, simulation, and sound to the mix. Can’t wait to see more. Thanks.
