I have been reading the forums with a Dell Streak 7 running Android 2.2 and logging in with no problem.
BUT, I cannot post a message. I touch the message body and the virtual keyboard should pop up. Never does. Looks like a Bug with Trains.com. I found one other user who has the same issue.
I have to assume no one else has tried this. If they have, I missed the thread.

Sounds more like a browser issue with the tablet. Can you reply to the Atlas forum?

No I have not. I have tried for three years to get a login to the Atlas forum but they never get back to me as being accepted so I gave up on them about a year ago. I cannot remember what I tried for user name and pw. I do know I tried to login at the time but it would never work.
I have not found any other forums where the table does not work.
I first saw a message about a tablet down in the Community Assistance forum but I think the forum is probably ignored.
Not a big deal as I can wait until I get home to post anything. I do know these forums are no doubt busy with Windows issues. Tablet users are a very small minority.

Keep trying! It took me 5 years but I finally got in.
I stand corrected. The forums at trainboard.com do not work. I rarely go there and just thought about it. The tablet does have the latest apps.
Some sites have enough trouble keeping up with Windows, let alone, tablets.
I have a mini laptop but the tablet is much lighter and easier to carry and use.
Technology is moving faster than many sites can handle and hiring more Techies is expensive.
Plus, Windows 8 in PC’s and tablets is around the corner and MS has new applications coming down the line.

Thanks Jeffey. Did not occur to me it would ever take that long. I only have one Atlas sound loco and I do not think I have any Atlas rolling stock so not really and issue. I usually point people here anyway, especially at the Bachmann it. Bachmann does not like any extensive discussions of other brands at their site.

Doesn’t even have to be extensive. I’ve seen people get jumped on for just mentioning other brands. Seems they’re a little bit jumpy.
I am assuming their site might disappear under so many other brands of trains so I just send some here. Yes, they want to protect their brand. I have no problem with that. The MRR community is huge.

Rich, just an fyi, I have the same issue with my IPad 2, but it works fine on Joe Fugates forum, I dont recall if I had an issue at Trainboard or not.

Try this: go to My Profile scroll down to “shared feeds” (it will be on the right hand side) click on “edit your profile to add feeds” scroll down to “site options” and set to “plain text” this worked for me.

I am guessing you mean they don’t work with the Tablet. They work fine otherwise with any PC I have tried.
Try an alternate browser? There are some available. I’m kind of surpised Safari on the iPad doesn;t work though, since Safari works for Mac users. Now I need to try my HP TOuchpad.

I only go on their On30 board, and it doesn’t have that problem. Of course, Bachmann is the only major manufacturer of ON30 stuff, so that’s probably the difference.
I can’t post from my iPhone either. I know it’s not the browser, because I’ve tried it using both Safari and Opera and it won’t work in either. However, posting on other forums (Railroad.net) works, so it’s something with this site.

Our desktop is about 6 years old and so we have been thinking of a new model…not knowing WHAT we want to go with- a new desktop, a new laptop {never had one}, or a new tablet.
The tablets are mighty salivating, but after reading this post, I think that is out.
Perhaps a small laptop, in addition to our current desktop is a good idea for now.
AS we get older {and neither of us techy savvy} we find we may get left behind!

Did anyone actually try what I posted, or am I talking to myself? 
I have a Nook Color and had the same problem but I found if I hit the HTML button on the POST MESSAGE section of the forum, then my keyboard comes up and I can type my message.
