Valley Model Trains?

Hello all,

Has anyone dealt (ordered from, etc.) with Valley Model Trains (www.valleymodeltrains.com) before? Seems like they have some pretty good deals.

Thanks for the input,

Peter

I purchased the Keystone Danby Sawmill kit from them a couple of years back, and had quick and full service. I think you’ll find them quite helpful and reputable.

Thanks C,

That is just what I wanted to hear.

Good people, I’ve bought a few laser cut wood kits from them.

I haven’t bought anything from them for a couple of years but when I did they were fast and helpful. The stuff I ordered arrived quickly and correctly.

Before we moved from the Hudson Valley in NY State, I knew Pat Henneberry quite well…a super guy. Pat originally owned Valley Model Trains in Wappingers Falls, NY which had the distinction of being one of the premier hobby shops in that area. For reasons, known only to Pat, he decided to get out of the hobby shop business and concentrate his talents on providing quality craftsman-type structure kits to the hobby.

I have ordered a couple of kits from Valley Model Trains and was well satisfied with my order. While Pat can’t build the kits for you, he can provide just about any kit available today. Don’t hesitate in dealing with this vendor.

I want to record my support for the above recommendations concerning Valley Model Trains. Being thousands of miles away and often having to wait up to a few months to receive your order, it’s important to have confidence when placing an order.

There has never been an issue with Valley Model Trains - the orders have been filled promptly, the email correspondence from Pat Hanneberry is clear about availability of items and the order is well packed and arrives safely. Pat was very helpful in chasing up a few kits that had gone out of production - he couldn’t find my requirements, but he did follow up and keep me informed by email. I think that’s great, especially when he didn’t make a sale from those efforts.

In the past I have bought several Kits from “Valley”. If they were in stock at the time all went well and I was pleased with all in house procedures - initial inquiry, confirmation of availability, order fulfillment, dispatch etc. - that were necessary to ultimately receive the kits. I also found at “Valley” some kits that were unobtainable elsewhere. Pat was also very helpful when it came to successfully re-ordering out of stock items that I wanted to buy. They are very much - or were, I haven’t bought anything from them in several years - a customer focused retailer who would go the extra mile to make a sale and a satisfied customer.

I agree Bruce, I just recently recieved my order from him since I posted this message. The transaction went perfectly and I got a huge discount on the kit (it was on sale). Very pleased.

I would recommend Valley Model Trains to anybody, I have dealt with him a number of times during the past year or so without any problem. Items were always as advertised with good prices and arrived safely in very short time. This type of service is important when you are the other end of the world from the supplier.
