I am looking for two short Vandy HO oil tenders but I can only find them with a USRA 0-6-0 engine.
Anyone seen them for sale separately? Thanks.

Try Bachman. I think that they sell tenders.
MDC (Roundhouse) also made a small UP/SP style oil Vanderbilt tender. Might or might not be available through Athearn now.
Bachmann sells the medium Vandey not the short one. The short one is only with the USRA 0-6-0.
Don’t forget, Bachmann is run by bean counters. I cannot get parts anymore. If you have an engine with a broken part, send it back. Bachmann will send a replacement engine. Probably a refurbished one.I belong to the Bachmann forums and I see this a lot. I have a question there also but I am quite sure of the response.

That was a long time ago. Horizon Hobby owns Athearn/Roundhouse and everything comes in from overseas. Bean counters run everything and they are only interested in profits, not so much the modeler. I use to call Roundhouse back in the 1990s and had very good service for individual items. Those days are gone.

Are you saying Bachmanns not selling parts anymore?[%-)] I find that strange since they just started posting part diagrams on their web site to make part ordering easier. I haven’t oredered any parts in about 6 months, but up till then I’ve had no problems.
I tried some months ago and no luck. I wanted the four pin and two pin connectors/wire between the engine and tender. Maybe it is because the wires are crimped to the pins when the engine/tender are being assembled. I inadvertently cut a couple wires on mine. A couple others tried according to the Bachmann forums and no luck. Maybe things are changing.I have a Mouser Electronics and Digi-Key catalog and I have not been able to pin down the exact connectors.
I have replaced the stock decoder with a sound decoder so the engine/tender have been modified.
