Geeeeezus, that thing looked like it was hydroplaning on the rails! I wonder what speed it was going? At least 75mph.
No definitely not. Probably more like 45-50; videographer is very close the the tracks which makes it seem fast as well. At that close range, 75-80 MPH (passenger train speeds) would be a quick blur.
According to the stats. The Train was traveling at 112KPH, or about, 70MPH.

ma,ma,ma, minus 8 de,de,degrees?
Too ca,ca,ca, cold to be st,st,st,standing tra,tra,trackside.
I’ll wa,wa,watch from here, tha,tha,thanks.
OH come on, it was almost 18F, nearly shorts weather!
LOL
Should I decide to go railfan, there is a perfect place, parking lot right next tot he tracks right by a signal, and only 2 blocks from my house. I can sit in the car and stay warm and watch trains.

Here’s a nice fast train clip. Just listen to those Superliners whine.
I heard minus 8. Do they use C or F up there?
C
Well, that’s a little warmer. Supposed to be 70 F here in S.E. Pa on Sunday. If it is, maybe then I’ll go out train watching.
Yeah, insane, isn’t it? 3 snow storms, now nearly 70. Too bad I will be in northwestern PA where it’s not quite so warm.

Nice video links. It really is incredible seeing those stack trains going 70mph, in my area 25 mph is a fast train.
To all of you in the perpetually warm areas -8C isn’t too bad at all. -8F is definately getting chilly.
