Mr. Hays, I assume your “froggie” reference means you think the Renaissance cars are from France. First, please don’t use that insulting ethnic term, it is not appreciated. Second, they originated in England, and were designed for an overnight service through the Channel Tunnel that did not succeed. Third, both England and France have far better passenger train service than either the U.S. or Canada. I have ridden on Renaissance cars and found them quite pleasant.
Isn’t the contract for rebuilding the LRC cars? They’re the ones with the hidden frame faults that weren’t found until the rebuilding started. The Renaissance cars were remodelled/rebuilt before.
