VIA Rail cancels contracts with Industrial Rail
I’m surprised they didn’t show more patience. Not uncommon for projects like this to be this far behind schedule or worse.
Just going to end up costing the taxpayer more in the long run.
I wonder if Ontario Northland could take this one on? God knows they need the revenue.
Leo has it correct. Whose fault is it when the equipment sent for repair/upgrade has unforseen problems? As a Canadian, I love VIA and my father worked for CNR and I travelled on a pass, as a child for many years. My wife, daughter and I have used VIA from Halifax to Jasper and back. We need to complete the Jasper to Vancouver leg. Let’s get it together and stop blaming others, or else Rail for passengers will be dead in Canada.
