VIA Rail offering 50 percent discount on Québec City-Windsor corridor
Actually, according to information on the VIA website, the 50% off deal is good system wide. On can select by clicking on “East-West” for long distance trains including Canadian and Ocean.
And in the Maritimes, VIA is offering a permanent 50 percent reduction in service (the Ocean is now tri-weekly instead of six days per week)!

They keep on doing these sales, but only advertising them to those already on their email list, giving away revenue from regular customers without attracting new passengers. Too many people on the VIA board have no railroad experience, many of them have no transport experience at all…
