awesome. loved the soundtrack
This is one layout that is absolutely stunning!! The sound is so detailed that you can hear the difference on every individual train, the sqeeking sounds of the cars as they pass by. That’s the exact sound I usually hear every time UP and Amtrak are just right around our place. Very inspiring for a novice model railroader like me.

I loved reading the article about Vic’s layout and the pictures with it. I had the download of the layout as a desktop background for a while at work and some coworkers thought it was the real thing! The video is even more awesome than the pictures!! Thanks, Vic and MR.

Now thats what I call a dream layout.
Absolutely fabulous. The sound in the video added an incredible sense of realism. I’d really like to see an MR article about adding realistic sound to our layouts. Even my best N scale locomotive sounds so weak and the wheel clacking added so much. I want to feel the ground shake and the windows rattle just like at my grandma’s house when I was a lot younger!! Super job on the video.

So much detail both day and night. Very realistic in the old time ‘west side’ look of town.
I understand the locomotive sounds but where are the sounds of the wheels on the rail coming from
This is a well designed layout. It is one of the best looking layouts that I have seen. Lots of detail and it was fun to see it go from day to night and back to day. I thought that the realistic type atmosphere was great.
