Great to see the V&O again. While it is rather neat and realistic when the sound is suddenly swallowed up when those Virginian FMs go into the tunnel near the end of the video, overall this reminds me that sound on a model railroad can be a mixed blessing, if not downright annoying.

Awesome!

Good to see that the 'Old Master’can still show us a thing or two… I still have the video of his original layout. As my (only) strength is scenery, I love the very realistic river !

Having had the opportunity to operate on the V&O, it’s great to see it back again.
Allen’s railroad was a true modeling landmark.
He is one of the true masters and a very fine gentleman.
Thanks for showing it.

very nice layout and rolling stock and some great lookin locos

It’s wonderful to visit the latest rendition of the V & O by Allen McClelland. His layouts have been such an inspiration to many modelers around the world. I love his scenery and the family appearance of his road’s paint schemes. Congrat’s to you Allen! Well done.

wow like it

Absolutely superb scenery…

Absolutely superb scenery…

Very nice system, great layout, beautifully laid out balance within the train.

Video does not say much about the layout, how it functions etc. it’s just a pretty picture.

No doubt the V&O is a great model railroad. I am looking forward to seeing the MKT layout! You can always do more Katy Railroad and Texas & Pacific! Keep up the great work!

The excellent layout! Congratulations! I can compare RR modeling in US and Europe, and I see the differences. My scale in Europe is TT (1:120), scale born in US and abandoned after but now is still popular in Europe.

It is good to see Allen still involved in this wonderful hobby, with a 3rd version of the V&O.I credit Allen with getting me back into the hobby in the early 70’s,after the “lost” years of high school ,and college.Beautifully done as usual.

Love to see more of the layout in action.
