Video: An HO scale locomotive terminal in 2 x 5 feet

Fantastic! I want to be there, trackside, watching all the action. It feels very authentic.

Fantastic in a small space. But the steam whistle was terrible. Don’t even sound like a steam loco.

Wow! Wonderful detail!

Looks really nice. Would like to know is the turntable a kit or is it sctatch built? Am in the process (and it is quite a process) of scratch building my own 130ft. table and am looking at all info. available on turntables. Thanks

Excellent !!! There is only one problem, I feel like such an
AMATEUR now (:

An exceptionally fine video clip, albeit a bit short! The prototypical slow speeds of the equipment lent a great
deal of realism to the very well-detailed scene!

Nice roundhouse set up.

I’m adding an extension to my layout that includes a locomotive (steam AND diesel) servicing depot and this gives me ideas! I’m so excited!

Visually and operationally extremely impressive, however the audio effects were not at the same level of excellence. I liked the smoothness of the turntable operation, a great effort if it was scratch built.

I think the coolest part of this layout is the lift out aspect. I would have liked to see the mechanism of the lift. Thanks.

It’s amazing how imaginative model railroaders are. 99% would have said building a turntable scene in the amount of space would be impossible. Well done!

Great project and good video. I am in the process of building a 130ft. turn table to turn my cabforwards and my A&B F units. Have finished the pit with the rail installed and have a very good electronicly controled indexing system. Am in the process of puting the bogies on the bridge and would love to see a more detailed look at Flemming’s bridge.
Is it posible to contact him and maybe get a picture or talk with him? Thank You Bob Hillis (bobred31@sbcglobal.net)

Thank you for all the comments. I hope that the article in the magazine answer all your questions. If not give me your email address and I will try to get back to you. Flemming

Where does this fit with the rest of the layout?
