Great features. I really like the QSI functions available on this locomotive. More manufacturers should be like Atlas. Nice details, great sound and decoder functions.

I really like that “Heavy Load” feature. Very realistic. Love that FM Trainmaster too.
I have 2 of the Gold models and one silver and they run great. Never had any problems with them.

Nice looking engine that sounds good as well. The heavy load feature is one that I would be using a lot if given the chance.
I have one of the early gold models of this “Trainmaster” in SP scarlet and grey. It represents the prototype that pulled commuter trains on SP between San Francisco and San Jose when I was growing up on the Peninsula in the 1960s and 70s.
I have only DC power on my layout, yet my model runs very well with bell, whistle, and engine sounds all working fine. Main difference is that with DC to activate the bell and whistle, one must change the direction button on the power pack to make them work. Not sure if this will eventually cause my power pack to burn up, but it works fine for me so far. The engine also pulls quite well and easily pulls my 5 or 6 car passenger cars up a 2 percent grade.
It is one fine locomotive in my opinion and well worth the price. Thank you Atlas for making this model, it helps me relive my youth when I run my commuter train on my layout.
If there was a rating system like for movies at IMDB, I would give this model a “10”.
Very nicely demonstrated: standing start, reverse, appropriate horn and bells, gradual forward momentum up to road speed, close and varied shots, clear full sound.
I loved all the features. I just wish one of the companies would make the H-16-66 style the C&NW used in their ore drags in Upper Michigan!They were teriffic haulers! I guess I will have to customize some of these.

Locomotive sound has come a long way in the last year or so. Lovely loco!
Nice unit-kind of makes me wish I was in HO instead of N. Kidding, well produced and sound was better than usual.I like to see what is availabel, and MR staff comes through again.

Ido not like the warbach color as it does not have yellow steps,front stripes and any trim. A NH&H WOULD look better.
