Video: Atlas O F3 diesel locomotive
The F2 has been a neglected model. The F3,7 has been the popular one. I remember seeing F2s paired with FTs, when two FTs were too much. I’m glad to see this model, although I model in HO. I hope it will come out in HO.
Diesel locos and O scale aren’t my forte, however, this one sounds great!
Great sound!
sounds great hope it will come out in g scale
Looks great, sounds great.
Very nice, like the sounds
I remember watching F series and RSD’s of the Erie Lackawana as a kid in Sharon, PA. The engine sound is great, just like the real ones, especially as the throttle was opened up. I do think the pitch on the horn seems too low as I listen to it. Overall though, it’s a well done model!
I applaud Atlas for keeping good “O” scale products on the market. I have limited “O” scale equipement but it is good quality and Atlas fits the bill. I have the three rail TMCC system. The details are equivalent and hook ups and reverse loops are much more easy with three rail. When these F3’s come out in tree rail, I will add a couple to my line up. these are well done with excellent quality. Good job!
Looks and Sound great ! When will we get a PRR F3 version with LIFTRINGS and ANTENNA, like they all had installed, if not equipped at first deliveries ??? ( Except #9528, no front lifting rings by September 2, 1957, see page 362, Vol. Six by Paul K. Withers }
I am running 1955+/-1
PLEASE JW ?
I love Atlas O’s rolling stock but I am a MTH man,that loves the dcc system. I just watched your video of the F3 and on video it looks and sounds great.But I have learned from the past there is nothing like seeing and hearing the model in person.With the new age locomotives I want and expect the best I can buy and that my friends is what makes your layout all the more realistic.The detail is what sets aside a model from a toy train.As a child I had a toy train layout .But at the age of 56 I am excited in all the industry has to offer in a model to make my layout a reflection of the by gone era that keeps the worlds greatest hobby alive and well.May O Scale live forever.Meny thanks to Model Railroader for continuing their reviews of todays manufactures products.Great Job !
