VIDEO: Bachmann Li’l Big Haulers

Bachmann could have designed the little steam locomotive with a coal bunker to make it an 0-4-0T. The addition of two sections of straight track would prevent the operator from getting dizzy. The small HO train sets 50 years ago came with a traditional circle of Atlas brass 18 inch radius curve track. Not much has changed!

that would be a good idea for begenners

As a long time HO and S participant, I got started in G with Bachmann’s “Big Hauler” Tweetsie set. Have since upgraded and added a number of their Spectrum locos. Very glad they’ve added a starter set to their line. Looks good!

I see a lot of bashing material in that little loco. Thanks Marc & Happy New Year to you & yours!

Clearly presented for the new-to-the-hobby adult-- presuming they are watching or will be suggested to do so from receiving the train as a gift.

Suggestion: In a separate video, show quick-step video on the lubrication of the locos that have been reviewed. I have found lubrication very spartan in many of the new locos independent upon brand.

Nice to see that you have brought back the small locomotives again. Thanks

I do have one question to ask, What age is a beginner 6 7 8 9 ?

Excellent - Could not have been better done.

I like the set and also it works on my kindle which many of the other videos do not. Thanks

Cool nice starter pack

Great idea, Bachman!!! This will surely help attract more young people into the great hobby of model trains.
Way to go.

Excellent - product idea we need more hands on for our young people . Help to stir their creativity in positive ways

Excellent starter set, but I would suggest that Bachmann consider adding two pieces of straight track to form a more interesting oval layout at a very modest cost increase.

It’s great to modify to run on batteries with R/C and the steam sound from kit bashed 4-6-0’s, and runs great. I plan on getting the “Short Line Special” Soon.
