A Baldwin sure doesn’t sound like anything else!

great to see a product video

Kool Beans! Nice to see a video so one can tell what it will sound like before you buy one!! Keep up the great work!

Great sound and a nice-looking engine.

Wish they had a Reading scheme…

Ok, I’m just getting back into model railroading after a long, Army-induced absence… the sound on that is sooooo cool! Time to get a layout going, and I’m totally sold on the DCC features!

A fantastic Model. Would like to see a S.A.L. paint job.

I enjoyed the video also, great to hear and see what this loco can do. I also love the pre-war Lehigh Valley paint scheme, it is one of the most artistic beauties I have known. May have to get one even though I don’t model the LV!

As usual, SoundTraxx sounds great. Have several and use with Digitrax and Power Pax Booster. That Baldwin would sure look and sound great om my system.

Love that Baldwin sound, horn not so much.

As an aside, the unit sure would have photgraphed better with some 1940-60’s freight cars. Burlington Norhern, Wisconsin Southern? Somebody’s freelanced layouts?

Nice model. The exhaust stack is way too far toward the rear. As presented, the model would have the exhaust stack coming out of the main generator. However, the sound is great.

These are great to get a real flavor of a product’s sound / capabilities.

Great sound. Smooth operating. DCC & sound forever. I wonder what will be available in say 10 years. Do you have a crystal ball?

Hi Cody and David,
Just a suggestion, if you cut that water tower in half vertically and placed it against the backdrop, you wouldn’t have that distracting shadow that shows up in the videos and pictures.

Your review dos not say which of the decoders by Tstnami they have in this loco. They make two for Baldwin. I purchased the heat shink model with the right sound for VO 1000, and the fit is near imposible. It sounds like your sample came with the sound installed. I would really like to see inside to see how the factory put it together.

A Baldwin engine would spice up most layouts, too bad the sound effects are so poor on most videos. Using the latest sound card and still cannot hear them but Dana’s voice comes through loud and clear. Just thought I’d mention that.

I would like to hear the loud crashing sound of the couplers.

It sounds like an old Massey-Ferguson farm tractor I used to drive on the farm but this is actually a pretty neat model of the VO1000.

I enjoyed the presentation, first class as usual. But I would like to know why I have not received my February magazine as yet, looking forward to seeing it.
Alan Switzer.
