These came out several years ago - or is this a new run of them? They really are quite nice, but I thought the 7000’s whistle was a bit more shrill.

UP’s “sport model” 4-8-2s have been a favorite of my for years. This one truly captures the look of that engine. But, Dana, I really wish you guys would tweak the sound. It is really annoying when the bell overwhelms both the whistle and the engine itself. When you were running the train and demonstrating the drifting sounds, I could barely hear the engine. I saw you had the smoke unit on when starting, but could not tell if it was working during the rest of the video. While smoke units are a “cute” feature, I wish the manufacturers leave it off. That is more for the toy train crowd.
