A little while back, I had created a few really cool videos, inspired by the article in MR magazine about how to make realistic video of your layout. I have taken many video clips using my digital camera, but never thought about putting real railroad sounds to the video. I didn’t know I could! If anyone has Windows XP, the movie maker software that comes with the system can do just that. I have shared my video’s in other posts in the forums, and I’ll include the link for those of you who haven’t seen them… I wonder if anyone else out there has made mini movies of their layout, and can post a link for everyone to view? I would love to see other people’s “realistic video” of their layout.
Check out the website link in my signature below. I have over 20 minutes of video footage covering the entire second level of my MA&G layout on my website. The 4 clips include sound (DCC), background music and titles. You’ll find them on the “Video Library” page. I’m very pleased with the results. I hope you enjoy them!
I enjoyed viewing yours as well!! Thanks for sharing your work!
maandg: Thank you for posting your website. Your layout, and your photos and video’s are excellent!!! I very much enjoyed the experience.
Thanks to everyone for your comments!
I put together another video tonite that I’d like to share. Unfortunately, it can only be viewed on Windows Media Player, and with a high speed internet connection. It’s only 02:40 long, but it’s almost 20MB. It really gives you an overall view of my entire layout, including an in-cab view! Enjoy!
Note to 4884bigboy you have a vid titled “CSX 466 Wyoming Yard” in the sub title you call this locomotive a ac4400. it look to be a Ac6000 instead. just thought you migh want to know that.
Nope Ben. CSX AC6000CWs have yellow CSX lettering and have lightning bolts on both sides of the engine number. The radiators are different too. 466 is an AC4400CW.
