Cody,
You must have visited the show in the eary morning hours since their were so few people on the floor?
Hey, Cody: As great as inclusion of the hobby manufacturers is in TrainFest, don’t forget that there are over 1,000 exhibitors who work their tails off to get their displays assembled for the public. And some of them win awards for Best Module, Best Display, Best railroad, etc., as well. Maybe next year you could feature some of them, too, using some of products you talked about in your reviews.
And congrats to Jim Hediger getting the Tewes Award. Definitely a well-deserved honor.
When will the NMRA set up at the California Railroad Museum that Cody talked about be happening? Great info. on this segment. Thanks
keep up the good work cody nice job
Great presentation as always, Cody!
Hope to see you here in Atlanta at the NMRA.
I AM THANKFUL MY DAD GOT ME INTO THE HOBBY AT A YOUNG AGE.WATCHING ANYTHING TRAINS MAKES EVERY DAY GO A LITTLE SMOOTHER…KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS…
Another well done segment by Cody. Great work for those that organized and participated in Trainfest. Keep up the excellent work!
As always, excellent professionalism while maintaining a folksy accessibility that says “All, regardless of who they are or what they do, with an interest in model railroading are welcome.” Keep up the good work, guys!
Wished we couldve heard input from Fox Valley on the status of the NS Heritage Units
This sounds bigger and better than the show at the NMRA GR2012. We’ve talked about going and I think there will be a railfan trip that will include Trainfest next year. Can’t wait, it will be closer than Atlanta.
Hi Cody,
I have enjoyed your presentations for some time. I also would enjoy a little more coverage of N scale and Z scale. I model in n standard gauge, but armchair in all the rest and I always enjoy narrow gauge in any scale.
Wonderful to see Jim Hediger. Hi Jim!
Good interviews.
Could the audio level be raised up. With my audio turned all the way up, you are barely moving the needle. What have I overlooked?
Congrats Jim, Nice video Interviews Cody. Man I love this Hobby!
Great video, Cody! Nice to see Jim is still sharing his expertice after so many years. I met Jim at an NMRA Regional Meet in Pittsburgh a number of years ago. I’ve been in the hobby since the late 1960s.
Hey Cody,
I am just a teenager, and it is nice to see all the model railroad hobby action in the video. My question is what is the current state of the hobby. Not to sterotype, but it is an older hobby. Is model railroading slowly diminishing from generation to generation. A no would relieve my fear, but I would like an honest answer. I hope I am wrong, and if the hobby is growing just as Trainfest suggests, I will be very happy. Warm regards this holiday season.
In HON3 I often wonder why no one manufactures Florence ans Cripple Creek equipment. Even Colorado Midland. The only model car producer/decal maker for the two is La Belle. With the great history of the two roads I wonder why the Blacklist.
Great to see new an exciting steam models coming next year!!
