I purchased 2 programs. When i attempted to Edit a video. The program said I needed to purchase the up-grade. the up-grade description is the same as the original.
Install the software, dig into the Programs32 folder and find the installation. Right click on the .exe and under the properties thing, select the Compatibility tab.
Or if you cannot install the program at all go to the setup icon, right click on it, and open the properties box, and find the “Compatibility” tab.
This SHOULD work, but it the programs are really old (Win 95-98 era) then it may or may not work since the program may try to access the kernel at a protected level.
Windows 7 has a built in movie editor, somewhat primitive, called “Windows Live Movie Maker”
I used it for this video, so if that is good enough maybe you need not do more.
I bit the bullet a while back and bought the Corel video suite. Not as good as the professional stuff I’ve had an opportunity to deal with, but it does good work.
The usual problem with freeware and shareware is that they’re usually pretty basic. If you want full functionality, somebody’s gonna want some money.
