Video From the BNSF San Bernardino Sub

WB BNSF stack train crossing the UPRR Sunset Route @ Colton CA while traveling on the BNSF San Bernardino Sub

Approx. 3 mins. 30 secs. long - appears to have been taken from the SW quadrant of the Colton Crossing, near the northern end of S. 5th St. at W. K St., looking East, with the sun pretty much behind and to the left of the camera. The train is well-lit by the sun angle, and the camera maintains the same view throughout.

It begins with a UP freight in the distance WB geographically, starting around the connecting curve to the right to go South - hey, wait - isn’t this supposed to be a WB BNSF stack train ? Well, that shows up pretty surprisingly at about 0:38, and the video continues until it has completely passesd (no ‘dark segments’ in this one [swg] ).

Actually no that is not me. That is my friend who paid my expenses to guide him around the SoCal hot spots.

The UPRR train is beginning out going east & then turns north to eventually connect to the BNSF San Bernardino Sub as it was routed over the Cajon Pass instead of down the Sunset Route. We were at the Valley Blvd entrance to the crossing which allows for good lighting conditions in the AM hours.

Naturally when I rolled the video I was unaware of the BNSF trucking down the tracks & he would block the view of the UPRR train. According to M/quest at that spot while the BNSF train itself was inbound to LA it was traveling southward

It was taken from the SE corner of the crossing according to M/quest[:)]
