Great looking unit, brings back childhood memories of 2-packs running in Lindsay for CN in the 60’s. Is there a complete list of available paint schemes? Also looking if available as Cando Contracting units?

Quitea nice looking model, and the sound effects nowadays are really amazing. I don’t have any sound equiped locos yet, but it’s next on my to do list. And with the proliferation of decoders it makes it a bit more affordable.

I have one of these and the sound volume is not a problem. If anything it’s too loud in normal use. Please don’t judge the sound from this video clip, the model really is much better!

Sound and speakers were on max and could barely hear the engine. I am hoping these will pull as well as the early run DC SW’s Phil

Dana,
Log on at home and listed to this. If you turn up the volume, you’ll hear a lot of engine rumble, but the horn is puny and the bell can barely be heard. I don’t know if it is the recording or the engine itself, but this leaves A LOT to be desired. If it is the engine, you should say so. If it is the recording, it is doing Walthers a disservice.

I have a good sound system on my PC and had to turn it up to hear the engine. Sounds like lots of room noise is the main limiting factor.
A less sensitive directional mic placed above the model aimed down at the model may help.

I had no model sound. Voice and picture are very good. Suggest you try a wireless min.mike on the model. What ever you are using is not doing it.
