Sadly ironic that the prototype Columbia & Cascade Railroad, upon which the double-deck layout plan is based, has been one victim of the Carlton Complex fire in central Washington State this past several days. The CSCD has had at least one large pile trestle completely destroyed, and there has likely been more damage at other locations on their line. Hopefully, they can get the help they need to make repairs and get back up and running soon.
