I see these trains everyday. As an O gauger, I find this pretty prototypical for N scale. I’m thinking about getting this set.
Nice job on the presentation. I am currently collecting Untrack for a future layout.
Neet products and great for a beginner
once you use Kato track you will not go back
As usual a well engineered and highly detailed product from Kato. However, I think it is about time Kato gave model railroaders the option to have new or weathered track to enhance layouts.
Excellent review!
Their products are getting better and better. Worth every penny.
Another very nice set from Kato. I have a Kato Cali Zephyr, a Tsubame passenger train and a Type 0 Shinkansen and they are all beautiful models.
Makes me wish I had stuck with KATO N scale instead of going back to UK OO
New electrical wiring and Rail-connections look as a real improvement. I have to try it.
Someone needs to do a sound and lights decoder set for the loco and cab car that changes lights to the appropriate direction and has a horn for the cab car.
I totally agree with Charles . Once you use Kato track you are hooked. Thats all I use and have never had a problem.
Kato products are excellent. I have several of their locomotives and they all run beautifully. The paint schemes, details and lights are all exquisite.
I am using Peco track and the Kato and other makes of locos (e.g. Atlas) work fine. A friend of mine is using Kato Unitrack and he finds it very reliable although he has had to replace one turnout (switch) on his layout. The Kato control system is also very good. He especially likes the capability of stopping a locomotive quickly in case of an emergency.
nice new set from kato and i got to say this if it wasnt for the kato unitrack ease of use ide still be modeling HO scale but ive never had a track or turnout problem with them and it works grate the older the track is tho the plastic becomes less forgiving on trying new plans and the blast sides start cracking tho but a grate way to model N scale without being a grate track layer
Very nice video very well explane. I am ho scale guy but the more i see “n” scale i am starting to like it.
When is Kato going to come out with an MBTA version?
Good presentation, and clear enough to hear ‘gallery cars’ (shouldn’t it be ‘galley’?); and to wish that the presenter had blown his nose before he started. Another segment for the ‘blooper reel’…
Good introduction for anyone who hasn’t encountered Unitrack before. I use it on my layout but I’ll not be using the train set featured: wrong era and wrong area for me . . .
The Kato offering looks good to me. Do any of the manufacturers offer similar Chicago Metra equipment, in HO scale?
Nice & clear for all us old fogies trying to make sense of things.
