Those are some nice looking layouts.
Thanks for the video!
Thank you Cody and guys for the nice show of your personal layouts…(I wouls like to see more of the Santa Fe ones)

Enjoyed the tour! Does Andy cut two strips of Homasote in order to make the curves? (I have been following Dave Barrow’s method of kerf sawing the Homasote in order to make the curves) His right of way could be an interesting article, including how he hand lays the track. I hope to see more home layout updates in the years ahead.
Enjoyed viewing the 2009 Layouts in Progress. Do more of that.
As a Novice Model Railroader, (I model N-Scale N&W 1950’s 60’s) I am amazed at the skills and craftsmanship I see in these video layout tours, and in Model Railroader Magazine. The thing I appreciate most though is the willingness of more experienced Model Railroaders to share their knowledge and experience with those of us entering the hobby. Great stuff! Keep it coming
Really an excellent way to spend my Thursday evening. BRAVO!
Enjoyed the trip–Work in progress is always an interesting site.
I love to the layouts of the employees. It reminds me that perfection is nice but not needed. It is the doing or building the layout that matters. Seeing layouts that have only track laid with no scenery is great. Because at one time even the great model railroads of the past looked like this for even a short while.
After watching the 2008 and 2009 videos I would have to say that I enjoyed the 2008 video much better due to the less rushed feel that it gave. 5 layouts in 7 minutes plus a little local sightseeing was more enjoyable for me than 8 layouts in 7 minutes. Mind you I would love to see seven to ten minutes devoted to each layout!
Overall good job. I liked seeing the change in Hunter’s layout.
INTERESTING TO SEE OTHER PEOPLES CONCEPT OF DOING A MODEL RAILROAD LAYOUT.
call me prejudiced but the ‘n’ scale layouts of david pop jim kelly and neil besougloff seem to blend in with their scenery better that the other scales we have trains in three different scales ‘n’ ‘ho’ and a christmas ‘g’ but i still prefer ‘n’ that is what makes the world go round
The fact that I’m into “N” scale I can never get enough of Davids layout

Great layouts. It appears that almost everybody is using foam for scenery. Is this the consesus of the best material for scenery?
Thanks
All lay outs look great and full of life. I would like to see an N guage layout that is actually completed.
Really nice production. Great layouts! I really enjoyed the video.
It’s just great to see you guys still PLAY with trains, even though they’re an 8-hour-a-day job! Nice layouts, one and all.
Cody,
In one of the pictures of the layout tour, one of the snap shots shows you with your camera and you are wearing a Minnesota Twins baseball hat, what’s with that in cheese head land???
and how much grief did you get with that??? Go Vikes.
Oh! by the way, nice video you put together of the tour.

Great tour, thanks. I’m relieved to see that even professionals are not ashamed to show their layouts regardless of the states of completion. Makes me feel much better when I show folks how great the Saucier Central is “gonna be”…~(:-D)
Great hobby when the guys who put out this mag., have layouts such as these, and are so interested not only in their job, but also the hobby. I really enjoyed the photos and the video of the layouts…Good work.
