Very nice layout. I love the ideas of using Z scale as an outdoor railroad and making a model of the HO scale layout they have.
Just a phenomenal model railroad in that the scenes are so realistic. Ray and Renee did a wonderful job. Very impressive.
Nothing quite as good as “O” scale. Terrific modeling.
That’s a beautiful layout. Extremely clever use of Z scale equipment, and the model of their own layout is an outstanding idea. These are layout builders who amuse and inspire - a perfect combination.
Excellent trackwork and models as well, and the angles of the videography are just right.
I have seen their HO scale layout, and thought it terrific. Now it appears they have outdone themselves in O scale! Great modelling and great overall effect!
One of the best layouts of the 21st centery. Very nice A++
Very realistic and innovative.
The Grosser’s layout is a must see in person. My wife and I are currently building in On30 and hope to achieve a level like the Grosser’s. We have been toying with the idea of a ride on train for our city park but to see their use of a Zscale train really hit the mark. We would love to see more of their work in future issues of MR. Great job and here’s to a couple that enjoy working together. It’s a great hobby to enjoy together. All our best, Rick & Debbie Bell
Keep up the good work! Nice views of a perfect layout. I like the way they used the Z scale! Genius!
Ray and Renee:
Great job once again!

Great! But why no steam on the Soo? The “z” scale outdoor layout was excellent.
Good photos! I live in Minn so I know.
Ray and Renee’s HO Nostalgia Layout in GMR 2008 was great. I am looking forward to reading about their adventures in O Scale.
I am really impressed with David’s editing.
Great looking O scale railroad layout!
“Uncredible” and inbelievable" One of the best ever. Ray and Renee’s modeling capture the essence and period of what they are modeling to the fullest extent.
Great work!!!

Great shooting, great editing, and great finished product!
I would have given it a five, but like Steve Bennett I missed seeing a little steam. Also, I thought it was unnecessary to shorten the passing train shots. As I was trying to observe the excellent detail on a passing car, it would disappear and become another car. Otherwise, the layout is excellent.
looks like an awesome railroad , cannot wait to see the rest of the book =]
