She look GREAT!!! I had a Stroke

Like the way it so realistic stopping and starting good sound

Model looks, runs and sounds great. must have been a site to see the prototype pushing coal trains out of Dunmore and over Ararat Mt.

A great looking and sounding locomotive, just far too expensive for me and a bit too big for my 4’ wide by 9’ long ho scale layout. But maybe if it was on sale down under I might get it anyway.

Cool as can be, also it’s pretty neat

It looks and sounds pretty good, but it seems to lack the boiler details of the prototype photos I’ve seen

I would love it, but it’s too big for my layout. I do have the MTH K-4 and it’s the best and most fun investment I’ve made. It is unbelievably realistic both with the sound and especially the synchronized puffing smaoke!

The train looks great and sounds amazing… I would do without the Leroy chatter though.

Nice looking and running in the video, but who the heck is Leroy? I sure would not want that type of ‘voice over’ on any of my sound units. Maybe my 7 year old Thomas the Train fan grandson would like that. The use of the MTH system to get full sound is a real negative to me and I am sure most DCC owners.

I would think for the cost of this engine that they could get the front coupler to be in the right spot and not sticking out so far that it look toy like.

Fantastic!!The smoke and sound is great.I have an L-shape figure-8 ,4x14-both sides, it would never make my 22" curves. Sure would like to have one though!!

Looks magnificent, I love the triple sets of rods and synchro sound. However I run UP and Santa fe so I guess I shall have to stay faithful to my Big Boy and Challenger.

Ditch the voice communication.

Is that voice integral with the sound system? If so, it’s a little hard to believe that the manufacturer would expect that the buyer would be unaware that radio communication did not exist in this era.

Extremely smooth running, nice slow speed, and the synchronized chuff with smoke is incredible! Great job on this one!

I didn’t know yhat an engine like that existed. Just the Big Boys. It looks good, and sounds great.

it looks great!

Wow, I just viewed the HO Triplex 2-8-8-8-2 in action in your video ~ What an awesome engine, not only does this engine perform well, but the sound is just like being at Track-Side!! MTH has done a terrific job on this release!! You would think it was the Real Thing!! Thanks… I might have to put this one in my operating budget!! John Harris

MTH is raising the bar…again
