Video: MTH HO scale Triplex

If that darn “7” would keep from coming up while I’m on the hard eight I might be able to afford one.

Looks and sounds great. I like the way the smoke is synchronized with the exhaust. I could’nt see the smoke in the photo on the layout. Is it hard to see and does the smoke get more intenst as the load increases. That would make for a pretty smokey mountian railroad.

Very nice looking engine…also agree that the chatter should be eliminated.

A nice ,powerfull engine-but only for big layouts-27" curves are great-sorry,that thy nut run on smaller layout:-(

Having recently made the switch from HO to O for just these very reasons, (these wonderful sounds) not to mention that I am too old to go back to school for an engineering degree to learn all the pariculars of DCC, MTH offers us everything I have wanted in HO but never got … including Leroy! and an intuitive system to run them with. this is the future! AIN’T IT GREAT!!! Love those sounds!

How long untill they get one in N scale?

Super!!! The many power-wheels makes it fantastic!!!

This is an amazing piece of engineering, and the sound and smoke makes you believe you’re at Trackside. I just might have to see if my railroad expenditure fund can make this come to life on my model railroad for 2008!!

As the saying goes, “Bigger IS Better” : )

It’s very simple,I want one!

A very cool model of a rare locomotive

It could definitely do without the " Leroy" chatter. Who would put that in there any way?

The Triplex does run 22" curves. The problem is that the loco looks big on a 22" radius.

great job mth.

Beautiful detail and sound - minus Leroy. I model Wabash however so I’ll have to be satisifed viewing the video.

if you had this in n-scale.i would buy one.all most tempting to switch to ho-scale to have one of these great looking locos.

WOW ! What a machine!!!

Looks great to me! Is smoke & sound synchronized only with the front set of drivers? Surely “Leroy” isn’t a part of the package. If so, can he be surgically removed?

I bought two, giving one to an old friend who models the ERIE. Great running and looking model. Can’t wait for next MTH steamer.

I don’t know if Leroy will get one of these beauts, but I sure will. It will be right at home on my 26’ X 44’. layout. Probably get the Virginian.
