Really nice looking and sounding engine, especially in comparison to the Lionel GP7 in the same issue (admittedly based on the postwar GP7). Gotta say though—it’s a bit unnerving to see the flangeless inner wheels on each truck hang over the rail on sharp curves; I kept thinking it was about to derail! Wonder why the manufacturers can’t make the center axle wheels blind instead?
One good looking engine sounds great tool
In the video it appears that the smoke unit may by clogged. There was smoke pouring out from under the front trucks and not out the exhaust stack. Was this covered in the written review? (I haven’t read it yet)
