I watched this video another one that you shot at Eola. I think you have your directions mixed up. It looks like you shot the videos on the south side of the tracks just off of McClure Road accross from the yard office. So, EB is actually west towards downtown Aurora and WB is east going towards Naperville / Chicago.

Say what??? The video Spbed offers us here is indeed shot from the south side of the BNSF mainline and the train (likely BNSF train “NSI-Northtown” is headed in a WESTBOUND direction (towards Northtown yard in Mineapolis). This is my #1 favorite train watching spot (thus my nickname on this site) and those who know this spot will notice the piece of rail just barely showing on the street in front of Spbed while he’s shooting the train. This pice of rail WAS all that was left of a short spur into a factory just off to Spbed’s left…the piece of rail was removed and hte entire dirt section of roadway is now blacktop and very nice…except that they put up a long section of guardrail which limits the parking for us foamers there, but it’s still plenty fine trainwatching for all of us. Come by and join us some time when the weather’s good…plenty of BNSF, Metra and Amtrak action most of the time to keep all of you happy.
