that layout i see in the isseue it goood
I just enjoy all the realistic detail, Pelle`s work is an inspiration.
I got this book by you folks on this layout, but there is nothing like seeing it in action. Great Video thanks for sharing it
WOW!! What detail!
I love this layout. I have all his articles and his books. I want to build one for myself. I want to model Grand Jct. Colorado. The desert scenery that Pelle does is perfect for that area also. The town scene and overpass reminds me of Clifton or Rifle Colorado. Takes me back to when I was a young boy growing up on the Western slope.
Unbelievable detail and realism. Keep the video’s coming.
He gets the scratchy hardscrable edge of the Western desert so well. Almost makes me want to abandon Midwestern modeling! Almost.
While I sincerely appreciate Mr. S’s modeling abilities, I respectfully suggest the operations could use some refinement. Watching the switcher come up a latch onto the pellet transfer car and then speed off in the reverse direction may have looked OK in real life but the video brings out the shortcomings. Slow speed control and use of momentum really shows up on video… Super presentation, though!!
Pelle’s work in realistic landscaping always looks great. His way of capturing the true flavour of the desert township is so realistic.
The camera work is a large part of the expertise, giving low down views that place the viewer right into the scene. Also photographed with a good depth of field to keep focus on all of the small details beside the track. These little details are the items that make it hard to pick between model from real life. Thanks for a great article.
Well done indeed.
He is a master, just came back traveling from Las Vegas and told passengers about Pelle and how the Desert Wind motel made changes based on what Pelle did on the D&D.
I really like both videos that you showed and the part of the country that you modeled after i have spent a lot of years trucking through, and to tell you the truth it really looks like that part of the country. It makes me feel like i am back in southern California. After all these years it looks like Mojave, California. Thanks
great video ,
Looking good sounding great.
Thanks
Really nice slow switching moves! I like the low, trackside angle of the photography, which offers highly realistic viewing points!
W0nder how long it took him to make it.
Ultra-realistic. Everything I love about ho. Nice Video!
I can smell the diesel!!
very nice I am giving it a 5+
