Video Plus movies

This may have been addressed before; please tolerate a computer illiterate.

When I watch movies on MR Video Plus, the movies ‘studder’ to use a better word. The sound is OK, but the movie does not match the sound/voices and the scenes procede in a herky jerky manner. What am I doing wrong that will correct that. Should it continue, I’m sure I will not renew my subscription next year.

Everything else I watch in streaming video works great. I can watch movies/tv shows on Hulu or Youtube or on network websites or anywhere else. I even watch Cody’s Office on the MR webpage and it works great, but I can’t watch it or any other video on MR Video Plus without the problems named above.

If someone has an answer for me I would greatly appreciate it, but remember you are speaking to an illiterate who needs step by step responses. Thanks.

What browser are you using?

If I use Google Chrome, I experience many of the same problems on most of Kalmbach’s videos. Especially if I view in full screen.

The best browser, for watching in my case, is actually Internet Explorer 7; if it loads the Video Plus website that is. I can watch the videos in full screen with no problems.

Perhaps someone else has a better answer.

PIEDSOU,

If I were you, everyone here has a different fix, probably, for we all don’t have your system,Why don’t you give customer service a call and find out from them, after all,you are paying for it…Makes sense,to me anyway!

Cheers,[D]

Piedsou,

Great advice so far. Many times I have experienced the “performance” you described, viewing other media as well. If I allow the video to play through to the end, jerking and stuttering included, then play it back again, it may work properly. With the multitude of operating system/browser/media player/ISP combinations in use, it is extremely unlikely that every video presentation is going to work properly for all users every time. My PC has a well documented aversion to Model Railroader’s (MR) videos and webcams. I just have to accept that MR stuff is not going to work on this platform, all the while effortlessly displaying DOT traffic cams and U tube media.
